Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, TX; assignment site in Burnet, TX. Onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, from January through June.

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on overall qualifications.

What you will do

• Learn canister and ampoule cleaning, assembly processes, and safety control systems.
• Improve production processes for complex chemical containers while maintaining operational efficiency and safety.
• Support 2D drawings for components and subassemblies, along with bills of materials, to ASME Y14.5M-2009 standards.
• Create part numbers, engineering change requests, and related support documentation.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain a safe, positive, and productive working environment.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an engineering program and familiar with university co-op participation requirements.
• Available to work 40 hours per week onsite, Monday–Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, January through June.
• Experience with any CAD software.
• Organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable taking a hands-on approach.
• Comfortable working with mechanical tools such as wrenches and ratchets.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available now or in the future, including H-1B, TN, and STEM OPT sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Mechanical Engineering major, preferably graduating in 2027, 2028, or 2033.
• Chemical Engineering major.
