Financial Analyst (Retail)

Location: Toronto, Ontario; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Salary: CAD 72,000–85,000 per year

What you will do

• Build the annual budget and monthly and quarterly forecasts across departments and stores.
• Monitor actual results against plan and identify significant variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare weekly cash flow reports and provide ad hoc financial analysis.
• Create reporting packages covering financial results and headcount for business leaders.
• Provide decision support through analysis of historical and projected financial impact.
• Improve budgeting, forecasting, systems, and reporting processes while partnering with Payroll and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
• 1–3 years of experience in FP&A or financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, financial models, and large datasets.
• Ability to learn and use financial systems and processes effectively.
• Strong written communication, initiative, follow-through, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in the Toronto hybrid model with 3 office days per week.

Nice to have

• Retail or CPG industry experience.
• Progress toward a CPA, CFA, or CBV designation.
