Mechanical Operations Technician

Location: Lutz, Florida, United States; onsite manufacturing role

What you will do

• Repair, refurbish, and support production of low-complexity conveyors and metal detector equipment.
• Follow work instructions, risk assessments, and safe mechanical and electrical procedures.
• Prepare, assemble, and install HD, ABS, and pharmaceutical-style liners on metal detectors.
• Set up completed metal detectors for overnight testing and verify performance.
• Support potting, encapsulation, head build, wiring, cleaning, and preventive maintenance processes.
• Document quality checks, production orders, project time, issues, and improvement opportunities using SAP and company procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience repairing electrical and/or mechanical industrial machinery.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with entry-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Safety awareness, attention to detail, quality focus, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend, push, and pull for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Basic Microsoft Office familiarity, willingness to work overtime, and ability to pass drug testing where permitted by law.

Nice to have

• Experience using hand routers, drills, measuring tape, heat guns, utility knives, or epoxy guns.
• Plastic welding or basic woodworking skills for liner installation.
