Senior Software Engineer (Tokenization)

Location: Hybrid role based in Menlo Park, Toronto, or New York, with in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $196,000–$230,000 USD in Zone 1; $172,000–$202,000 USD in Zone 2; $153,000–$179,000 USD in Zone 3, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend services for minting, custody, and settlement of tokenized equities across blockchains.
• Lead complex projects from architecture and implementation through rollout and operation in a 24/7 environment.
• Connect traditional brokerage, ledger, and corporate-action infrastructure with on-chain systems.
• Build smart contract integrations, chain indexers, and decentralized exchange trade flows.
• Partner with product, compliance, legal, and platform teams to translate regulatory constraints into system designs.
• Raise engineering standards through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience delivering large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Strong backend development expertise with Go, Python, or Java.
• Deep familiarity with cloud-native architecture, including Kafka, Postgres, Kubernetes, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience designing correctness-critical systems involving idempotency, reconciliation, and failure-mode analysis.
• Experience owning ambiguous cross-functional projects, influencing technical direction, and mentoring engineers.
• Working knowledge of blockchain fundamentals, including EVM, smart contracts, wallets, and on-chain settlement, or the ability to develop this expertise quickly.
