Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: New York, United States. Hybrid policy requires three days per week in the office, with Monday mandatory.

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build efficient microservices powering web and mobile customer experiences.
• Design and implement scalable, performant backend services primarily in Go and, where appropriate, Python.
• Contribute to web frontend development with Vue and TypeScript, including API contracts and end-to-end features.
• Own squad-level technical projects, manage dependencies, and deliver solutions aligned with product and engineering goals.
• Build observability systems with Datadog and BigQuery, improve quality of service, and prevent regressions.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, chaos mitigation, hotfixes, root-cause analysis, code reviews, and technical knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Go proficiency and proven Python experience.
• Experience with microservices, high-traffic backend services, regular feature delivery, and comprehensive testing.
• Working knowledge of Vue, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript for full-stack contributions.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, tracing, incident management, and on-call support.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and REST or GraphQL API design.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate clearly across disciplines, and contribute through documentation and code reviews.
