Algo Developer (Electronic Trading)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: USD 150,000–300,000 base salary annually, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance options trading strategies for internal and external clients.
• Monitor daily trading performance and develop algorithm customizations based on client needs.
• Apply knowledge of US options market structure, regulations, and exchange services to implement ongoing changes.
• Collaborate with traders, sales teams, clients, compliance officers, product managers, and engineers on requirements and feature requests.
• Develop and maintain APIs, user interfaces, and trading platform components across the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Financial Technology, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Java or C++.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing algorithms for US trading.
• Experience analyzing and optimizing data-driven trading strategy performance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing algorithms or smart order routers for agency trading.
• Experience building backtesting systems for trading strategies.
• Experience developing low-latency trading strategies.
• Experience providing direct client support.
