Software Engineer, Tokenization (Web3)

Location: Menlo Park, California; Toronto; or New York City offices, with in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $166,000–$195,000 USD in Zone 1; $147,000–$172,000 USD in Zone 2; $130,000–$152,000 USD in Zone 3, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and deploy backend services for minting, custody, and settlement of tokenized equities on the Robinhood Chain.
• Develop product-facing features and platform capabilities with strict correctness, auditability, and scalability requirements.
• Integrate traditional brokerage, ledger, and corporate-action systems with on-chain infrastructure.
• Build smart contract integrations, chain indexers, and decentralized exchange trade flows.
• Improve system performance, engineering productivity, and operational risk reduction.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, client, and platform teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Backend development expertise with Go, Python, or Java and a solid understanding of cloud-native architectures.
• Strong knowledge of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with correctness-critical systems, including idempotency, reconciliation, and failure-mode analysis.
• Strong ownership and experience delivering projects end to end in cross-functional environments.
• Interest in blockchain fundamentals such as EVM, smart contracts, wallets, and on-chain settlement, or willingness to develop this expertise quickly.
