Staff Engineer - Cloud Backend Engineering

Location: Bengaluru, India; hybrid with at least 3 days per week in the office and up to 2 days working from home

What you will do

• Design and architect scalable cloud infrastructure, platform services, and distributed systems for 10x growth.
• Build self-service application and infrastructure deployment automation using CI/CD, IaC, and cloud-native tools.
• Develop roadmaps for reliable, efficient cloud platforms targeting 99.999% availability.
• Analyze production deployments, network usage, performance, security, and operational processes to identify improvements.
• Operate and improve Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, public cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance across multiple engineering teams and mission-critical projects.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing, building, and operating highly available, scalable, and high-performance distributed cloud systems.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure, hybrid cloud environments, Linux, IaC, Terraform, Python, and/or Go.
• Experience with cloud platform operations, automation, observability, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise-scale infrastructure.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• AWS professional-level certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified Developer Professional.
