Manufacturing Test Engineer (Laser Technologies)

What you will do

• Design, build, document, and maintain automated production test equipment.
• Develop LabVIEW-based test software for data acquisition, simulation, control, and quality control.
• Analyze test data to improve products, test coverage, manufacturing yield, and productivity.
• Debug production testers and manufacturing fixtures for galvanometers and high-precision scan heads.
• Collaborate with operators, supervisors, R&D, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams.
• Support compliance with quality, environmental, and occupational safety requirements.

Requirements

• Professional LabVIEW development experience in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting automated test systems, with strong hardware troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience with SQL database programming and maintenance, data acquisition, and signal processing in time and frequency domains.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, test instruments, signal conditioning, power electronics, and National Instruments hardware including PXI, DAQ, and RIO.
• Experience with one or more of Python, C++, C#, MATLAB, VB, or .NET, plus PLCs, embedded systems, microcontrollers, CAD, and technical documentation.
• BSc degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, mechatronics, robotics, applied physics, or a related engineering discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience in quality control, R&D, or manufacturing engineering.
• Project leadership or informal team leadership experience.
• Experience supporting high-volume production testers.
