Software Engineer (Mid Level, AI)

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid working with remote flexibility

Salary: £40,000–£60,000 per annum

What you will do

• Design and build scalable software across a range of client projects.
• Develop across front end, back end, APIs, data, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to technical design, testing, and delivery.
• Integrate AI capabilities including LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent-based solutions.
• Use AI coding tools throughout the development lifecycle and evaluate technologies for practical business value.
• Work directly with clients in enterprise environments and solve complex technical problems.

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer or Full Stack Engineer.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing and CI/CD.
• Experience with back-end technologies such as Java, Python, Node, C#, or Go.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Vue, or Flutter.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern development practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients, complexity, and ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Exposure to LLMs, RAG, or agent frameworks.
• Experience using AI coding tools and interest in AI.
• Willingness to learn and adapt across different technologies.
