Senior Solutions Engineer (Big Data)

What you will do

• Discover customer use cases and requirements through workshops and consultations.
• Create and deliver customer-centric solution designs, architectures, roadmaps, and business outcomes.
• Define technical selling approaches and support account penetration and success planning with sales counterparts.
• Explain competitive differentiators and the broader technology ecosystem to technical audiences.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product roadmap items and contribute to evangelism, knowledge repositories, and enablement materials.
• Mentor associates and participate in the hirify.global community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Enterprise software and Big Data experience, including an understanding of enterprise operations, security, and data governance.
• Solution architecture or engineering experience, including requirements analysis, whiteboarding, hands-on design, implementation, and demonstrations.
• Knowledge of infrastructure, Java or .NET, SQL, data science concepts, and the distinction between data engineering and applied science.
• Strong Linux, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with HDFS, YARN, Spark, Impala, Kudu, Solr, or other Big Data technologies.
• Streaming experience with Nifi, Kafka, or Flink.
• NoSQL, enterprise data warehouse, data science, machine learning, or integration product experience.
• Advanced degree and experience thriving in a changing environment.
