Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer (Forward Deployed), GPS

Location: Global public-sector engagements with onsite implementation; candidates applying from Qatar must obtain the required residency and employment permissions.

What you will do

• Serve as the lead technical strategist for public-sector engagements, translating ambiguous mission requirements into architectural roadmaps.
• Architect production-grade AI applications integrating interactive interfaces, backend systems, and AI models.
• Guide cloud infrastructure evolution with a focus on security, global scalability, and system integrity.
• Direct development of core platforms and shared services for diverse client use cases.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership on technical roadmaps while mentoring senior and junior engineers.
• Turn field lessons into reusable engineering patterns and shared platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience architecting complex distributed systems.
• 10+ years of full-stack experience with Python, Node.js, and React.
• Experience designing high-scale architectures on Kubernetes and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in production systems, security, scalability, and long-term system integrity.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting end-to-end solutions in complex, high-security client environments.
• Experience building LLM-driven solutions and leading through significant ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Startup experience as a CTO or founding engineer.
• Experience as a forward deployed engineer or dedicated customer engineer.
• Cross-functional experience with operations.
• Proficiency in Arabic.
