hirify.global is a European fusion company developing stellarator fusion power plants, including the Alpha and Stellaris machines, using advanced computation, machine learning, and high-temperature superconducting magnets.

What you will do

  • Support the industrialisation of magnet production processes from prototypes to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Design, test, and scale processes including welding, bonding, sealing, and coating.
  • Define requirements for manufacturing equipment and processes focused on performance, repeatability, and safe operation.
  • Develop in-process monitoring and non-destructive testing approaches.
  • Determine quality requirements and design jigs and tools for industrialised magnet production.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians across multiple teams and troubleshoot production-line issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or a similar engineering field.
  • Broad experience in manufacturing process development, process monitoring, and non-destructive testing in an industrial setting.
  • Hands-on experience with production processes such as welding, machining, assembly, and bonding.
  • Experience with prototyping, testing, development planning, and production troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work across varied technical tasks in a dynamic environment and collaborate closely with engineers and technical staff.
  • Reliable, proactive, solution-oriented, and willing to experiment and learn from mistakes.

Nice to have

  • Experience in both prototype and industrial manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Catia V5 or 3DExperience.
  • Background in product testing and qualification in a regulated industry.
  • Exposure to SCADA systems or MES integration.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and risk assessments in automated environments.
