Legal Counsel, Spanish-speaking (Fintech)

Location: Leeds, UK

Base salary: £48,000–£72,000 per year

What you will do

• Advise the Partner and UK Go-To-Market teams on strategic and high-value deals.
• Review and negotiate customer, partnership, and supplier contracts.
• Support strategic projects, new product launches, and rollout of legal templates.
• Supervise junior lawyers and instruct and manage external legal counsel.
• Build and maintain legal self-help tools, playbooks, and guides.
• Improve high-volume legal processes, including contracting automation and contract-management workflows.

Requirements

• UK-qualified lawyer with 5–6 years of post-qualification experience.
• Private-practice training and/or in-house experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience negotiating complex contracts with sophisticated counterparties.
• Experience reviewing marketing materials under applicable laws and regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex legal concepts in clear English.
• Spanish-speaking capability and an interest in technology, operational efficiency, and legal tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FCA requirements or payment services.
• Experience with intellectual property management and IP-related issues.
• Experience selling or supporting SaaS solutions.
• Ability to explain what an API is.
