Quality Inspector - Mechanical (Industrial Refrigeration)

What you will do

• Inspect mechanical components and assemblies during in-process and final production stages.
• Measure dimensions, tolerances, and configurations using calipers, micrometers, gauges, weld gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications for compliance.
• Document inspection findings, deviations, corrective actions, and traceable quality records.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and support process improvements.
• Monitor welding procedures and enforce safety protocols in the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical inspection, quality control, or manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with inspection tools, measurement techniques, and fabrication or assembly processes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally, and to work standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in heat, cold, dust, and noise.

Nice to have

• Technical certification in welding or quality control.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems.
