TL;DR
Network Engineer (AI): Operating and continuously improving IT and OT network estates across data centres with an accent on switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, wireless, monitoring, and automation. Focus on diagnosing multi-vendor incidents from the CLI, integrating monitoring with ITSM and DCIM, and automating configuration and compliance tasks.
Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; hybrid work practices

What you will do
- Operate, configure, and troubleshoot switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, and wireless across IT and OT environments.
- Own standard network changes, diagnose incidents, and improve operational runbooks.
- Support incident and problem management while identifying recurring operational risks.
- Establish device monitoring, alert rules, logging, and operational dashboards.
- Integrate monitoring with ITSM, CMDB, and DCIM platforms.
- Automate repetitive tasks such as configuration backups, compliance checks, and bulk changes.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of network engineering or operations experience in production enterprise or data centre environments.
- Hands-on experience with switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, high availability, and network segmentation.
- Strong CLI-based troubleshooting skills across multiple vendor platforms.
- Understanding of enterprise wireless, remote-access VPN, and out-of-band management.
- JNCIA-MIST or JNCIA-SEC certification, or willingness to obtain one within the first 90 days.
- Experience with Juniper, Fortinet, ClearPass, Ivanti VPN, OpenGear, or Aruba is desirable.
Nice to have
- OT/ICS exposure and IEC 62443-style segmentation experience.
- Python or Ansible automation experience.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants.
