TL;DR

Sr Accountant (Inventory and Cost Accounting): Supporting month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and cost analysis with an accent on journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, and inventory reserves. Focus on analyzing inventory costs, coordinating with Business Controllers, and maintaining accurate financial records in ERP systems.

Location: Shah Alam, Malaysia; onsite with no remote work available

What you will do

Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Perform inventory and cost accounting analysis and related reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries and support intercompany reconciliations.
Coordinate with the Business Controller team on inventory reserves.
Support audit-related activities and respond to auditor requests.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience.
Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
