TL;DR

Accountant (IFRS/US GAAP/SAP): Preparing and analyzing financial records, reconciliations, audits, filings, and internal controls for Intel's global Finance organization with an accent on accounting compliance, reporting accuracy, and financial systems. Focus on supporting SAP S4 implementation, resolving month-end variances, and improving finance processes across cross-functional teams.

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work

hirify.global's Finance organization manages accounting, controllership, reporting, financial integrity, and internal controls worldwide.

What you will do

Prepare and maintain ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations under IFRS, US GAAP, and hirify.global policies.
Support statutory audits by coordinating with auditors and preparing financial statement documentation.
Manage month-end accounting, resolve variances, and provide actionable financial insights.
Prepare governmental filings and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop finance policies, procedures, and internal controls while collaborating with Tax, Legal, HR, and other teams.
Contribute to financial system optimization, process simplification, legal entity restructuring, and SAP S4 implementation through design, testing, and configuration.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2–3 years of relevant experience through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training, or a Master's degree in Accounting or a related field with no prior professional experience.
Knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including IFRS and US GAAP.
Knowledge of SAP S4 and Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory compliance standards.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

Accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, or equivalent.
Experience working in multicultural or cross-functional environments.
Interest in using technology to improve efficiency and innovation.
