Staff Industrial Engineer (Optical Manufacturing)

Location: hirify.global Thailand, Navanakorn, Pathum Thani; on-site work in office, cleanroom, and manufacturing-floor environments

What you will do

• Develop capacity models for manpower, equipment, space, and production requirements.
• Analyze demand, constraints, utilization, and bottlenecks to support capacity and investment decisions.
• Lead productivity, labor-efficiency, cycle-time, cost-reduction, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Conduct time studies, work measurement, line balancing, standardized-work analysis, layout optimization, and material-flow improvements.
• Support new product introduction, process transfer, production ramp-up, and manufacturing-readiness reviews.
• Develop analytical models, dashboards, and business cases while providing technical guidance and leading cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or operational excellence.
• Strong experience in capacity planning, time studies, line balancing, layout design, labor modeling, and productivity improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, value-stream mapping, and structured problem-solving methods.
• Proficiency in Excel and data-visualization or analytical tools, with strong project leadership and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience in optical, photonic, semiconductor, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience supporting NPI, manufacturing transfer, capital investment, and production ramp-up.
