Mechanical Design Engineer (UG/NX)

Location: Bangalore, India. Travel required up to 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex mechanical tooling and fixture challenges.
• Use UG/NX for 3D modeling, detailed design, and drafting.
• Perform engineering analyses and develop layouts, drawings, specifications, and design solutions for mechanical systems and tooling.
• Design and implement custom tooling and fixtures for manufacturing, assembly, disassembly, repair, inspection, and handling.
• Define test requirements, coordinate testing, and prepare engineering test plans and reports.
• Lead or independently execute mechanical design and tooling projects while collaborating with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8–12 years of experience in mechanical design or a related field.
• Experience with CAD software, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, and/or Design for Excellence principles.
• Ability to prepare, review, and approve accurate engineering documentation.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the hirify.global product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection, and manufacturing methods.
• SPM background.
