What you will do

  • Evaluate, test, and develop mechanical and fluid-control systems using mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials engineering.
  • Design plastic components and optimize mechanical designs for production, reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost.
  • Integrate mechanical designs with electrical and consumable components, resolving interface issues and supporting troubleshooting.
  • Develop and document medical products in line with regulatory and manufacturing requirements.
  • Define and conduct testing protocols to validate product safety and effectiveness, including reliability testing and engineering analysis.
  • Coordinate deliverables from subsystem teams and external partners, and lead project teams or laboratory activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in verification and validation testing of plastic or fluid devices, hardware, and systems.
  • Expertise in the design and manufacturing of plastic components.
  • Experience with FMEA, finite element analysis, design of experiments, and statistical techniques for product verification and validation.
  • Ability to manage nonconformities and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ability to support product transfer to manufacturing and develop robust manufacturing processes.
