Controller (Property Management)

What you will do

• Develop and deliver the financial strategy supporting growth, profitability, acquisitions, and operational excellence.
• Advise the Executive team on financial performance, risks, opportunities, investments, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead annual planning, forecasting, scenario modelling, long-range planning, and end-to-end financial operations.
• Produce management accounts, Board packs, KPIs, forecasts, and annual financial statements while monitoring revenue, margins, costs, working capital, and cash flow.
• Oversee service-charge budgets, reconciliations, reserve funds, client money, property transitions, and financial risks across portfolios.
• Strengthen controls, compliance, finance processes, ERP and reporting systems, and the capability of the finance team.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant License is required.
• Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally as a CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent.
• Experience in client management and team management, preferably in a Fortune 500 or Big Six public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of service-charge accounting, client money, budgeting, cash flow management, statutory reporting, and GAAP compliance.
• Experience leading audits, working with external advisers, senior executives, and Boards.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical ability, communication skills, and experience improving financial controls and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience in a private equity-backed, acquisitive, or rapidly scaling business.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-country, or regulated client-funds environments.
• Experience with property-management systems, ERP implementations, BI and reporting platforms, or finance transformation.
• Familiarity with relevant sector bodies and regulatory requirements.
