Business Affairs Director (Entertainment)

Location: Based in Culver City, California; the role may be performed remotely within the United States, with pay varying by geographic location.

Salary: $217,000–$325,000 USD base pay annually. The role may also be eligible for a bonus package.

hirify.global develops PlayStation hardware, network services, and entertainment experiences, including film and television adaptations through PlayStation Productions.

What you will do

• Lead complex and strategically significant commercial negotiations for film, television, licensing, co-production, development, production, and other entertainment projects.
• Set commercial strategy, define negotiating positions, identify value drivers, and determine acceptable trade-offs for assigned transactions.
• Structure and negotiate writer, producer, director, talent, attachment, option/purchase, licensing, and related entertainment agreements.
• Advise senior leadership on deal structures, commercial models, market precedent, business risk, and long-term implications.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Creative, and first-party game studios to align deal terms with project economics, franchise priorities, and intellectual property objectives.
• Build senior relationships across studios, streaming platforms, production companies, agencies, producers, talent representatives, and other rights holders.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of progressive experience in entertainment business affairs, deal-making, or a closely related commercial role.
• Extensive experience independently leading complex, high-value entertainment transactions and negotiating with senior executives and sophisticated counterparties.
• Deep expertise in film and television business models, economics, deal structures, customs, and practices.
• Strong working knowledge of intellectual property, licensing, development, production, and distribution arrangements.
• Exceptional negotiation, commercial judgment, strategic thinking, executive presence, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; JD, MBA, or another relevant advanced degree is preferred.
