Certified Medical Assistant (Oncology)

Location: Webster, Texas, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What you will do

• Support physicians and clinicians with patient care, examinations, and clinical procedures.
• Escort patients, record vital signs and medical information, and obtain records before visits or procedures.
• Prepare, stock, and disinfect examination and treatment rooms.
• Administer delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Handle patient calls, referrals, prescription calls, scheduling updates, and other administrative tasks.
• Enter orders under provider direction and follow the US Oncology Compliance Program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant program graduation is preferred; Certified Medical Assistant status is preferred.
• Level 1: 0–3 years of medical assistant or nursing assistant experience.
• Level 2: at least three years of medical assistant or nursing assistant experience.
• Senior level: at least five years of medical assistant or nursing assistant experience in a hospital or clinic.
• Current BCLS certification is required within three months of hire; current CPR certification is required for the senior level.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Additional certifications required by applicable state regulations.
