Salary: $19.50–$28.47 per hour

Compass Oncology is a privately owned cancer care and research facility within hirify.global, providing surgical, medical, and radiation oncology, pathology, palliative care, and clinical trials.

What you will do

  • Schedule office visits, laboratory appointments, chemotherapy appointments, tests, and other provider-ordered services.
  • Coordinate external referrals and maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Answer incoming calls, assess patient needs, route calls, and communicate messages through the patient portal.
  • Respond to routine and complex patient inquiries while collaborating with healthcare providers and clinic staff.
  • Participate in provider-led case discussions, staff meetings, onboarding, training, and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Support dependable clinic operations through accurate, efficient, and punctual work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to interpret and execute provider orders using critical thinking.
  • Strong organizational, written, verbal communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate when supporting patients, families, and caregivers during stressful medical situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word and other computer systems.
