Walmart operates retail stores and requires facility services support to maintain food equipment, facilities, fixtures, and store operations.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial food equipment, Walmart facilities, fixtures, and other assets using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Diagnose issues by inspecting, operating, and testing equipment and fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair requests and document completed work.
• Train store associates on equipment care, cleaning, and safe operation.
• Apply plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material-handling, and food-equipment maintenance skills while supporting food safety and preventing cross-contamination.

Requirements

• Must work at the Rapid City, South Dakota, United States location.
• Vocational or technical certification plus two years of relevant experience, or four years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
• License in a related trade in the city or state where the job is located.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use ladders frequently, work at heights and in varying temperatures, and sit or stand for extended periods.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial HVAC/R and building controls or construction-related mechanical maintenance.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
