Junior Laboratory Technician

What you will do

• Perform routine laboratory tests on solid, liquid, and gaseous materials according to standard operating procedures.
• Prepare representative client sample subsamples through drying, crushing, pulverizing, filtering, mixing, and splitting.
• Weigh and digest samples using laboratory equipment and prepare monthly composites.
• Receive, sort, log, label, archive, return, or dispose of client samples according to established procedures.
• Complete laboratory reports and perform scheduled quality assurance and quality control checks on equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory, including proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required unless required by state law.
• For water laboratory assignments where required by state law: a post-secondary science degree or at least one year of supervised water testing experience.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
