Maintenance Fitter

Location: Blacktown, NSW 2148, Australia. Onsite role with day shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and afternoon shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

What you will do

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Complete planned maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records in the CMMS.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
• Support equipment installations, modifications, continuous improvement projects, and plant reliability initiatives.
• Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams while maintaining safety, environmental, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Mechanical Trade Qualification, Certificate III, or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience working as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, with knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
• Experience with CMMS and preventative maintenance systems, plus the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Commitment to workplace safety, including LOTO and permit procedures, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment, welding, or fabrication.
