Data Center Field Service Technician (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Launceston, Tasmania, Australia; on-site support required

What you will do

• Inspect, install, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, computing, and ancillary systems.
• Diagnose technical faults, apply practical solutions, and escalate issues when required.
• Support computer installations, HyperCube fluid handling, load bank installation and removal, network cabling, commissioning, and equipment testing.
• Perform site operations including circuit and pump resets, faulty equipment removal, site cleanliness, and equipment setup.
• Provide technical updates to project and operations teams and maintain service records, equipment logs, and required documentation.
• Maintain PPE, first aid kits, eyewash stations, tools, spare parts, and equipment inventory while completing post-maintenance quality checks.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent, technical certification, or trade qualification.
• At least three years of relevant hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and under direction.
• Ability to work as part of a 24/7 operating roster, including evenings and weekends.
• Unrestricted driver’s licence required.
• Electrical licence required for electrical staff; familiarity with data centre equipment is advantageous.
