Senior Mechanical Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Sydney, Australia, with 10–30% travel during project delivery phases.

Salary: AUD 170,000–180,000 per annum

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design from concept through commissioning for advanced AI infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering documentation, calculations, and technical standards.
• Review consultant designs and contractor workshop drawings.
• Support equipment selection, procurement, construction activities, and site inspections.
• Commission and optimise mechanical systems across high-performance data centre environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of data centre MEP experience.
• Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and ASHRAE standards.
• Experience designing and commissioning mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
