Manufacturing Equipment Engineer (PLC)

What you will do

• Operate, sustain, and improve equipment across multiple high-volume production processes.
• Support 24/7 production by troubleshooting breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
• Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness, and lead equipment upgrades focused on serviceability, reliability, and process capability.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting support to Maintenance and train technicians on manufacturing equipment.
• Create and improve preventative and predictive maintenance documents and schedules.
• Analyze spare parts, support inventory development and cost reduction, and coordinate faulty component returns with vendors.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in a high-volume environment.
• 2+ years of experience with HMI development, PLC programming, motion control, and safety devices; Ignition and Beckhoff experience preferred.
• Experience with 2D/3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks or CATIA.
• Experience commissioning and improving equipment, including OEE improvement and preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills, with experience in statistical data analysis, CMMS, safety, ergonomics, change point management, and spare parts management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cognex and Keyence vision systems.
• Experience with Atlas Copco torque tool systems and Beckhoff ladder logic.
• Experience coding, debugging, and troubleshooting End of Line Test machines.
