Data Scientist / Technical Analyst (AI)

Location: Chicago, Mossville, or Peoria, Illinois; limited opportunities in Irving, Texas. Relocation may be available.

Salary: $89,210–$144,960 per year

What you will do

• Build machine learning, deep learning, statistical, and physics-based models using time-series sensor data, fault codes, inspections, and analysis records.
• Identify equipment health anomalies, predict failure modes, estimate remaining useful life, and develop equipment risk models.
• Develop and evaluate Generative AI solutions, including model training, prompt engineering, agents, assistants, and chatbots.
• Perform reliability monitoring, observability, incident response, root-cause investigations, performance optimization, and automation development.
• Plan, test, and analyze global telematics connectivity using cellular, satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and related technologies.
• Provide technical support for hirify.global digital applications and products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field by the start date.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships, academic projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, and coursework are valued.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 without rounding.
• Knowledge of business statistics, analytical thinking, machine learning, programming, databases, and requirements analysis.
• Experience or knowledge with Python, SQL, cloud platforms, data visualization, IoT and telematics data, and statistical modeling.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
