Training Instructor I / MLO (Processing)

Location: Hybrid, with work locations in Pensacola, Florida, or Winchester, Virginia, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CT. Travel and occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

Salary: $22.55–$30.29 per hour

What you will do

• Plan, design, coordinate, and deliver technical, soft-skill, skill-builder, and member-service training programs.
• Develop course content, lesson plans, facilitator guides, reference tools, learning activities, and other training materials.
• Facilitate classroom and virtual instructor-led training while promoting participant engagement.
• Assess business-unit training needs, research operational processes, and recommend effective training solutions and process improvements.
• Track attendance, assessments, trainee performance, and program effectiveness through the Navy Federal Learning Center.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on business functions, systems, products, policies, and procedures while mentoring and supporting trainees.

Requirements

• Experience or exposure to classroom instruction and facilitation for individuals or groups.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, planning, time-management, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate processes and requirements into clear, understandable materials.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external technical and functional stakeholders and guide others toward goals.
• Effective database, presentation, word-processing, and spreadsheet software skills.
• For the Mortgage-MLO assignment, registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry is required before starting employment, including fingerprinting and background checks.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Navy Federal products, services, policies, procedures, and organizational objectives.
• Knowledge of banking and financial industry standards and practices.
• Experience assessing organizational training needs and researching topics for course development.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, communication, behavioral sciences, training development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
