Summer Associate Internship (Enterprise Operational Risk Management)

Location: Hybrid or remote from the United States, with locations in Vienna, Virginia; Pensacola, Florida; and Winchester, Virginia. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $26.44–$46.88 per hour

What you will do

• Support day-to-day activities and special projects within Enterprise Operational Risk Management.
• Compile risk prioritization reports, dashboards, and high-value attribute data.
• Conduct assessments for new Navy Federal applications and analyze quality gates and checkpoints.
• Analyze data and develop business-unit awareness materials, reports, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with technology, data governance, business risk, and business and IT owners.
• Provide insights and oversight to support operational risk management and enterprise decision-making.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Operational Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Advanced research, analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and explain operational risk processes clearly.
• Ability to work with management, supervisors, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Familiarity with governance best practices, vulnerability management, business continuity, third-party risk, data loss prevention, network security, and cloud security.
