Senior Software Testing Engineer (Salesforce)

Location: Remote within the United States; Eastern US hours required. Applicants permanently located outside the US may be declined.

Salary: $102,200–$234,800 USD annual total target compensation, depending on geographic zone.

What you will do

• Design and execute manual, functional, integration, API, and end-to-end tests across Salesforce and enterprise systems.
• Lead hybrid testing initiatives, balancing detailed manual testing with automated regression coverage.
• Build, maintain, and improve Java-based automation suites using Selenium and TestNG.
• Analyze defects, quality metrics, test results, and risks to support release readiness decisions.
• Define quality gates, test plans, metrics, and release quality criteria for complex integrations.
• Mentor QA engineers and drive improvements in test coverage, execution efficiency, and testing standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software testing or QA engineering, including Java-based test automation.
• Strong experience with manual test design, risk-based testing, API testing, integration validation, and release quality assessment.
• Practical experience with Salesforce, SQL/SOQL, REST APIs, defect management, and test metrics.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum, automated test frameworks, and flaky test prevention.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly, work cross-functionally, and mentor less experienced QA engineers.
• Ability to work Eastern US hours and be permanently located in the United States.

Nice to have

• Salesforce certifications.
• Experience in regulated environments such as SOX, GDPR, or HIPAA.
• Experience with automation framework design, test architecture, security testing, and complex multi-system integrations.
