Staff Software Engineer in Test (SDET) I - Brazil

Location: Brazil; remote role

What you will do

• Lead AI adoption and operationalization across the squad, designing AI-enhanced testing workflows and measuring their impact.
• Define safe and reliable AI standards for test pipelines, regression systems, and validation workflows.
• Design and govern agentic testing workflows using MCP technologies such as Maestro MCP and Playwright MCP.
• Develop advanced test strategies, plans, and machine-readable test cases for AI-assisted test generation and broader coverage.
• Establish QA methodologies, automated testing frameworks, and technical standards across Engineering.
• Partner with MLOps, Platform, Product, and Engineering teams while mentoring QA and engineering professionals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in quality assurance engineering, including manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency with Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or CircleCI, plus bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA or TestRail.
• Hands-on experience operationalizing AI-assisted and agentic testing workflows, including MCP-based test generation and execution.
• Experience defining validation standards, human-in-the-loop boundaries, and measurable AI ROI outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; an updated resume translated to English is required for consideration.

• Experience embedding AI knowledge-sharing into team culture and coaching senior engineers.
• Experience building reusable AI operational assets such as prompt libraries, validation checklists, triage runbooks, and agentic playbooks.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
