Biotechnologist (Gene)

Location: Piscataway, New Jersey, United States; onsite, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week

What you will do

• Perform daily experiments involving oligo, PCR, ligation, screening, plasmid work, sequencing, quality control, and reagent preparation.
• Operate laboratory technologies and equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Organize daily order sheets, experimental plans, reagents, and product preparation requirements.
• Record experimental data and results accurately in paper and electronic systems.
• Monitor delegated experiments, report progress and abnormalities, and ensure complete handovers.
• Monitor equipment, follow safety standards, maintain laboratory organization, and support optimization projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, life sciences, bioengineering, chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in molecular biology and cell biology with practical experimental experience.
• Knowledge of genetic engineering techniques, including DNA isolation and manipulation, primer design, plasmid design, PCR, restriction digestion, homologous recombination, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, transformation, plasmid isolation, and sequence analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of achievement and responsibility.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Availability for 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with rest days that may not always fall on weekends.
