Automotive Business Consultant – Accounting Specialist

Location: Hartford, CT, United States; remote work with extensive travel and overnight hotel stays up to 5 nights per week.

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year. Training compensation: $60,000–$63,000 base salary; targeted income after training is $80,000+ including bonuses.

What you will do

• Build professional relationships with automotive dealership customers.
• Identify operational and accounting-related trouble areas within dealerships.
• Use established consulting programs and automotive industry expertise to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
• Follow up after projects to maintain relationships and provide ongoing fee-for-service support and problem resolution.
• Support consulting services sales by helping dealerships succeed across different operational areas.
• Travel extensively to customer sites, including overnight stays up to five nights per week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of automotive dealership experience, including office management, automotive accounting/controller work, or AP/AR accounting.
• Willingness to travel extensively with overnight hotel stays up to 5 nights per week, every week.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with fewer than two moving violations in the past three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the past five years.
• Reliable home internet with sufficient bandwidth for video conferencing.
• Experience with hirify.global accounting software is highly preferred.
