Automotive Business Consultant – Accounting Specialist

Location: Boston, MA; remote work with extensive travel across the United States. Travel may require overnight hotel stays up to 5 nights per week, every week. Training includes field work and classroom instruction through offices in Dayton and Houston.

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year. Training base salary: $60,000–$63,000; targeted income after training is $80,000+ including bonuses.

What you will do

• Build professional relationships with automotive dealership customers.
• Assess dealership operations and identify accounting and business trouble areas.
• Use established consulting programs and automotive industry expertise to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
• Deliver consulting projects and follow up with customers to provide ongoing fee-for-service support and problem resolution.
• Support consulting services sales by building customer trust and identifying additional opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of automotive dealership experience, such as office management, automotive accounting controllership, or AP/AR accounting.
• Must be willing to travel extensively, including overnight hotel stays up to 5 nights per week.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last 5 years.
• Reliable home internet with sufficient bandwidth for video conferencing.
• Experience with hirify.global accounting software is preferred.

Hiring process

• Approximately 90 days of training with experienced consulting and sales representatives in the field.
• Completion of online courses from the home office and classroom instruction through the Dayton and Houston offices.
• Eligibility for quarterly bonuses begins after the 9-month training period.
