Assistant Manager: Ocean Beach Resort, Umina (Hospitality)

Location: Umina Beach, Australia. Onsite resort role with weekend work expected, including Saturday; a typical peak-season pattern may run Tuesday to Saturday. Accommodation is available if required but living onsite is not mandatory.

What you will do

• Act as operational second-in-command to the General Manager and translate strategy into consistent daily execution.
• Coordinate operational rhythms, task follow-up, departmental alignment, and day-to-day issue resolution.
• Support team leaders with rosters, workforce planning, labour decisions, recruitment, onboarding, and development.
• Handle banking, administrative, compliance, safety, incident, hazard-reporting, and operational-check processes.
• Provide visible, hands-on leadership and support resort operations during peak periods and busy trading times.

Requirements

• Experience in a holiday park, resort, hotel, or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Background as a supervisor, duty manager, assistant manager, or department head.
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check is mandatory.
• Experience with rostering, labour awareness, operational planning, compliance, and financial administration.
• Strong organisation, communication, prioritisation, problem-solving, and hands-on leadership skills.
