Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead - QLD (Workplace Health & Safety): Leading safety, health, and wellbeing operations across retail and hospitality sites in Queensland with an accent on incident prevention, regulatory compliance, and team wellbeing. Focus on conducting ICAM root-cause investigations, analyzing incident data, coaching site teams, and implementing practical controls across a distributed venue and retail network.
Location: Queensland, Australia; state-based role with regular intrastate travel and occasional interstate travel. Hybrid ways of working are offered.

operates a portfolio of retail, hospitality, hotel, and drinks brands including Dan Murphy’s, BWS, ALH Hotels, and Pinnacle Drinks across Australia.
What you will do
- Partner with Queensland operations, Brand Managers, and site teams to embed safety into daily operations.
- Lead Category 1 and 2 ICAM root-cause investigations, support Category 3 and 4 reviews, and manage notifiable incidents.
- Develop and implement controls, risk assessments, safety alerts, work instructions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion physical and mental wellbeing programs across Queensland.
- Support the Safety Management System, self-insurance audits, regulatory compliance, and engagement with WorkSafe and external regulators.
- Conduct new-site safety inspections, coach teams during onboarding, and deliver WHS training.
Requirements
- Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety; a Diploma is preferred.
- ICAM certification and a current, valid driver’s licence.
- Strong workplace health and safety background with knowledge of retail and/or hospitality operations.
- Deep understanding of the WHS Act, regulations, codes of practice, and hazard management principles.
- Experience with root-cause investigation, data-driven planning, group facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.
- Ability to travel regularly across Queensland and occasionally interstate.
