Senior Program Manager, Technology (Software Asset Management)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $120,500–$220,500 annually, depending on location, skills, knowledge, and experience. State-specific ranges apply.

hirify.global is a large retail organization with a technology portfolio requiring software asset, licensing, compliance, and cost optimization programs.

What you will do

• Lead high-impact, high-risk Software Asset Management transformation programs and enterprise process improvements.
• Drive SAM governance, cost containment, compliance readiness, license optimization, and measurable business outcomes.
• Use FlexeraOne, AI-driven analytics, and automation workflows to manage the software lifecycle and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with Vendor Management, Sourcing, Security, Engineering, Legal, Tech Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
• Present license risk, program progress, KPIs, and actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and establish SAM playbooks, templates, best practices, and knowledge-sharing frameworks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale, cross-functional programs focused on Software Asset Management.
• Experience delivering high-impact, multimillion-dollar programs and managing software audits and audit readiness.
• Deep knowledge of SAM principles, software lifecycle management, and software licensing models.
• Expertise with FlexeraOne, including foundational back-end knowledge, and familiarity with major on-premises and cloud vendors such as Oracle, Google, Azure, and AWS.
• Executive stakeholder management skills, including presenting complex data and license risks to VP- and CTO-level audiences.
• Technical understanding of core infrastructure and software development, with experience using AI and automation tools such as Azure OpenAI, GitHub Actions, or Power Automate.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SAM, ITIL, IAITAM, CSAM, or FNMS certifications.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Wiz, Configuration Management, JAMF, or Intune.
• Experience implementing cloud-based SAM processes and applying a purple-team security mindset.
