Roadway CAD Manager

What you will do

• Lead, supervise, and mentor CAD designers and technicians supporting transportation projects.
• Establish and enforce CAD standards, procedures, templates, and drafting best practices.
• Administer CAD software, system configurations, and design resources.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews for project and client compliance.
• Coordinate production schedules, staffing resources, workloads, deliverables, and deadlines with project managers and engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot complex design issues and implement process improvements and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, drafting, or a related field, or equivalent technical certifications.
• 10+ years of practical CAD experience within a transportation design team.
• Proficiency with Bentley CAD software, preferably MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer, including workflow customization.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards, quality control processes, and drafting best practices.
• Proven leadership experience with mentoring and developing CAD technicians.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Houston, Texas.
