Warehouse and Logistics Capability Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time. Travel to warehouse and data center sites in the US is required as needed.

Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD

What you will do

• Define requirements and design warehouse, inventory, transport management, and related operational capabilities.
• Lead program management, tool selection, implementation, integration, testing, and adoption across internal and external systems.
• Enable expansion into new geographies through scalable tools, processes, SOPs, and reliable data.
• Run RFPs and manage strategic third-party logistics providers, carriers, and technology vendors.
• Ensure vendor tools meet architecture, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop operational reporting for receiving cycle time, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and freight cost, using it to drive improvement.

Requirements

• Experience managing warehouse or logistics operations for physical goods, including receiving, inventory control, and outbound shipping.
• Hands-on experience designing and using warehouse and inventory management systems, with strong spreadsheet-based data analysis skills.
• Experience managing third-party logistics providers or carriers, negotiating service levels, and holding vendors accountable.
• Working knowledge of LTL, FTL, parcel freight, and related documentation.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements for shipping and storing IT or electronic equipment, including lithium battery hazardous-material rules.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience; strong communication and process-building skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center or enterprise IT hardware, including servers, GPUs, accelerators, and networking equipment.
• Experience with international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, export controls such as EAR, and secure chain-of-custody programs.
• Experience managing warehouse staff or contract labor and working with ERP or procurement systems.
• Experience with Agile development, frontier AI tools, or rapid infrastructure buildouts.
