Warehouse and Logistics Capability Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requiring staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time. Travel to warehouse and data center sites in the US is required as needed.

Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD

What you will do

• Define requirements for warehouse, inventory, transport, and related operational capabilities with partner teams.
• Lead program management, tool selection, implementation, and integration with internal and external systems.
• Enable expansion into new geographies through scalable tools, processes, standard operating procedures, and reliable data.
• Conduct RFPs and select or build solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Integrate third-party vendor tools with Anthropic’s architecture while meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Develop operational reporting and drive improvements in receiving cycle time, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and freight cost.

Requirements

• Experience managing warehouse or logistics operations for physical goods, including receiving, inventory control, and outbound shipping.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse and inventory management systems and spreadsheet-based analysis of inventory and shipment data.
• Experience managing third-party logistics providers or carriers, negotiating service levels, and holding vendors accountable.
• Working knowledge of domestic LTL, FTL, and parcel freight and related documentation.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements for shipping and storing IT or electronic equipment, including lithium battery hazardous-material rules.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center or enterprise IT hardware, including servers, GPUs, accelerators, and networking equipment.
• Experience with international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, export controls such as EAR, and secure chain-of-custody programs.
• Experience managing warehouse staff or contract labor and working with ERP or procurement systems.
• Experience with Agile development, frontier AI tools, or rapid infrastructure buildouts.
