Founding Product Engineer (Physical AI)

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Build a Physical AI platform that monitors physical environments and identifies safety risks in real time.
• Develop cloud ingestion, real-time event streaming, time-series and event storage, and safety data models.
• Design multi-tenant identity and access-control systems, including authentication, SSO, and role-based permissions.
• Build infrastructure and DevOps capabilities across AWS, containerized deployments, CI/CD, edge, and cloud systems.
• Develop operational dashboards, compliance analytics, operator scoring, coaching workflows, and safety reporting.
• Build agent orchestration and conversational features for alert triage, coaching drafts, and safety-data summaries while iterating directly with customers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with broad full-stack range and end-to-end systems thinking.
• Proficiency in a modern backend language such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with either cloud infrastructure, AWS, containers, CI/CD, and distributed systems, or modern frontend development with TypeScript/JavaScript and real-time data-dense interfaces.
• Experience designing or working with multi-tenant systems and role-based access control.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent orchestration or workflow engines such as Temporal.
• Experience with managed identity platforms such as WorkOS, Auth0, or Clerk.
• Experience with large-scale data pipelines, Spark/PySpark, time-series data, IoT, or sensor data.
• Experience building AI agent features, conversational interfaces, or LLM-powered products.
• Experience with safety, operations, or compliance software.
