Activision 2027 Summer Internships - Game Economy (Gaming)

Location: In-person in Santa Monica, California, United States; candidates must currently reside in the US or be open to relocating to the US. The internship lasts 12 weeks and starts in mid-May or mid-June.

Salary: $20.00–$50.00 hourly

What you will do

• Apply economic theory and empirical methods to understand player behavior and improve the player experience.
• Analyze extensive game data to identify insights relevant to Call of Duty.
• Query datasets with SQL and perform quantitative analysis using Python or R.
• Use econometrics, probability, and statistics to identify patterns and narratives in data.
• Communicate findings and their significance to game developers and product managers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a master’s or PhD program and graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available for a 12-week in-person internship starting in mid-May or mid-June.
• Deep knowledge of quantitative methods, including econometrics, probability, and statistics.
• Expertise in SQL and analysis with Python or R.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, data visualization, and gaming knowledge.
• Resume required for consideration.
