Activision 2027 Summer Internships - Game Economy

Location: In-person at Activision Publishing in Santa Monica, California; applicants must reside in the US or be open to relocating to the US.

Salary: $20.00–$50.00 hourly in the US.

Activision develops, publishes, and distributes interactive entertainment, including Call of Duty and other major gaming franchises.

What you will do

• Apply economic theory and empirical methods to understand and improve the player experience.
• Analyze extensive game data to identify insights into how players engage and thrive in Call of Duty.
• Query datasets with SQL and conduct analysis using Python or R.
• Use quantitative methods to identify patterns, evidence, and meaningful narratives in the data.
• Communicate findings and their significance to game developers and product managers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a master's or PhD program and graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available for a 12-week, in-person internship beginning in mid-May or mid-June 2027.
• Currently residing in the US or open to relocating to the US.
• Deep knowledge of quantitative methods, including econometrics, probability, and statistics.
• Expertise querying with SQL and analyzing data in Python or R.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, data visualization, and understanding of gaming.
