Network & Systems Security Analyst

Location: Lutz, Florida, United States — onsite. Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; hours may vary based on workload and project requirements.

What you will do

• Plan, design, implement, and support network, server, storage, and virtualized infrastructure.
• Monitor systems and troubleshoot network, server, storage, outage, configuration, and performance issues using the OSI model.
• Install and configure hardware and software, including switching, routing, DNS/DHCP, Active Directory, VMware, firewalls, and storage area networks.
• Provide security consulting and second-level technical support for security systems and authentication mechanisms.
• Plan, test, maintain, and document disaster-recovery solutions and develop implementation plans for infrastructure projects.
• Lead technical projects when required, provide technical direction, collaborate with vendors, and mentor less-experienced analysts.

Requirements

• At least six years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Windows servers, VMware, storage area networks, firewall technologies, and Cisco networking.
• Hands-on experience with switching, routing, DNS/DHCP, Windows Active Directory, hardware installation and maintenance, firewalls, cybersecurity practices, and authentication systems.
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure problems with the OSI model and supporting network, server, and storage hardware and software.
• At least one associate-level and one senior-level industry certification, such as MCSA, MCSE, VCP, CCNA, CCNP, CEH, GIAC, or CISSP.
• Strong technical direction, collaboration, communication, documentation, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass a NERC-compliant background check.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or a related IT discipline.
• CCNA, VCP, CISSP, or MCSA certification.
• Technical project leadership, consulting, mentoring, or cross-training experience.
• SolarWinds experience.
• Experience with disaster-recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
