IT Security Analyst

TL;DR

IT Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Performing risk assessments, security analysis, and developing remediation plans with an accent on network security and server administration. Focus on reducing downtime, identifying vulnerabilities, and maintaining SOX security frameworks.

Location: Remote and hybrid options available for eligible candidates; offices located in Huntington Beach, CA and Farmers Branch, TX (USA)

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 / year

What you will do

• Perform risk assessments and security analysis to develop remediation plans.
• Deploy, integrate, and configure new security solutions and enhancements according to industry best practices.
• Manage physical and virtual servers, including Linux and VMware ESX/Vsphere.
• Identify security vulnerabilities in networks and systems and provide technical support for prompt remediation.
• Secure and audit Microsoft server environments, specifically Active Directory services.
• Collaborate on Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in information technology security or equivalent.
• Proficiency in network security and design, including TCP/IP, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, and routers.
• Experience with security monitoring tools such as UTM, IPS, and IDS.
• Ability to work within the USA (implied by US-based office locations and benefits).
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed.

Nice to have

• CISSP or SANS GIA certification.
• Understanding of WAN, MPLS, and VoIP technologies.
