Sr. System Administrator

Location: Hybrid in Lexington, Massachusetts; must live within 100 miles of Lexington and should expect to be onsite 4–5 days a week.

What you will do

• Administer Linux and Windows platforms, computing and network infrastructure, end-user environments, storage, backups, recovery systems, and applications.
• Install, configure, upgrade, monitor, and troubleshoot systems and networks.
• Develop shell scripts and automation tools to improve productivity and infrastructure reliability.
• Manage virtualization environments, including VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, vSAN, ProxMox, VM snapshots, SANs, and iSCSI storage.
• Configure and support network services, routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, SAMBA, and Active Directory.
• Support vulnerability management, centralized logging, audit capabilities, enterprise backups, and mission-critical data protection.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Hybrid work is required, with residence within 100 miles of Lexington, Massachusetts and onsite work expected 4–5 days per week.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of systems administration experience, including Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, Active Directory, SCCM, backup solutions, virtualization, DNS, DHCP, proxy, and load balancing.
• Strong Linux, Windows, networking, vulnerability management, VMware, ProxMox, BackupExec, Splunk, ACAS, and Artifactory experience.
• Experience administering GitHub Enterprise, Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, and Bamboo.
• Understanding of DoD RMF and STIG processes, plus strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, teamwork, and independent problem-solving skills.
